DARLIE or DARKIE ??

While I was browsing the Darlie's picture as a reference for my image editing yesterday, i accidentally found out a little secret and history about the Darlie's toothpaste that we commonly used.

The Darlie's toothpaste that we used daily, was once known as DARKIE !!!! And the logo used, was really freaking. Freaking enough to cause you to have a nightmare if you use it before sleep.

That was the creepiest toothpaste I have ever seen >.< !

And guess what, it was once known Peppermint instead of Toothpaste. In Cantonese or Mandarin, Darlie's toothpaste is called 黑人牙膏 which direct translation means " Black's man toothpaste". As we all can see on today's Darlie, the picture on the the packaging is not a Black Man, it's a White Man instead...not black at all.

However, back to those day, Darlie's (formerly known as Darkie) picture on the packaging was really a Black Man !!! And the packaging wasn't attractive at all ~~~ HAHAHAHA =)

Fortunately the outlook of the packaging and picture has changed, otherwise, i personally will not buy Darlie toothpaste anymore. XD
